Technology Professional Services Executives Honored with First Annual TPSA Ambassador Awards

TPSA celebrates stewardship in the technology professional services community.

SAN DIEGO and SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 6, 2009 – The Technology Professional Services Association (TPSA), the largest and most influential association for technology professional services executives, today announced the winners of its first annual TPSA Ambassador Awards. Paul Hofstadler, vice president of worldwide consulting for Mentor Graphics; Jean Pommier, vice president of methodology for ILOG (an IBM company); Terry Crawford-Smith, director of global services finance and operations for BMC Software; and Susan McKay, director of technology solutions strategy and business development for EMC, were honored today during a luncheon awards ceremony at the Technology Services World (TSW) conference in Silicon Valley.

TPSA Ambassador awards were inaugurated this year to recognize outstanding contributions by these professionals through their thought leadership and high level of involvement and participation in the TPSA community.

"In our infancy as an industry association, one of the most important aspects of success is evangelism," said Thomas Lah, executive director of TPSA. "We need members to educate the technology professional services industry about the value of engaging in a community model to help solve complex industry challenges. So our awards today celebrate these evangelists—folks that have contributed significant amounts of their own time and energy to drive our association forward."

Co-hosted by AFSMI, SSPA, and TPSA—the three leading associations of the services and support industry—Technology Services World is the primary source of learning in services and support during these economic times. At TSW 2009 Silicon Valley, attendees discovered the traditional tactics for improving services efficiencies and key techniques for creating breakthrough improvements in service economics.
